The Boyd Bison Farm is located in Palmer, Alaska. The herd of American bison is allowed to free roam over 180 wooded acres, giving them both shelter from Alaska weather and a place to live as wild and free as a meat animal possible can.
During the warmer months the bison free range and graze on a variety of grasses and Alaska native plants/weeds the way nature intended. See our bison photo gallery here.
During the colder months, the herd is fed Alaska grown timothy and brome. The Boyd’s dedicate a separate 200 acres purely to hay production.
Bison are a hardy, self-sufficient animal. None of the animals are medicated in any way. No antibiotics, fillers, or growth hormones.
Our bison are as natural and ethically raised as it gets. If you’re looking for lean, healthy, Alaskan meat, our bison are a great option! Click here to reserve your bison.
